What is Cosy Homes in Lancashire?

Cosy Homes in Lancashire was launched in 2014 by 13 Local Authorities in Lancashire following an energy efficiency study commissioned by Blackpool Public Health.
Since our launch in 2014, we have successfully secured over £80 million in funding, helping more than 25,000 residents save money through energy saving advice and home improvements.
In 2021/22 and 2022/23 we helped 2,400 households access the Green Home Grant - Local Authority Delivery scheme, allowing them to install insulation, upgraded windows and doors and renewable technologies.
Cosy Homes is to be Lancashire's 'One Stop Shop for Warmth' offering help and assistance to every household in the county.
The scheme is supported by all the Chief Executives and the Directors of Public Health in Lancashire. This covers all council-backed energy saving initiatives in the county, providing a simple and accessible way for residents to access grants from energy companies and other sources to fund new heating measures, insulation and renewable technologies in their homes.
