What is Connected For Warmth?
Connected for Warmth offers fully-funded cavity wall insulation and loft insulation to households throughout Britain.
Cavity wall and loft insulation can help reduce energy use and keep homes warmer for less. Participating households can receive one or both of these measures, installed by experienced Trustmark-registered professionals.
They can also benefit from other support such as heating controls, smaller energy-saving measures and personalised energy advice – all for free.
Referrals into Cosy Homes in Lancashire will be directed into the scheme and residents will be contacted by the scheme administrator who will arrange a survey from a local installer.
Fully funded measures include:
- Loft insulation, including top-ups, if your loft currently has less than 7.5 inches (200mm) of loft insulation.
- Cavity wall Insulation - for peace of mind you will receive a 25-year industry backed IAA (Insulation Assurance Authority) guarantee.
- Heating controls - If you have a central heating system with old analogue controls the scheme may be able to offer you a new smart thermostat if you are having loft and/or cavity wall insulation installed.
- Smaller energy saving measures - energy-saving LED lightbulbs, radiator panels that reflect heat back into the room, draft-proofing strips, letterbox brushes, chimney balloons, and other helpful little measures.
- Energy advice, once you’ve had your measures installed installers will be able to offer you a call with an experienced energy expert who can offer you some advice on energy saving habits and behaviours, and other ways to save.
