Community Impact Day

Join us for the first family-friendly enhanced community impact day in Skelmersdale

What's on?

• Arts and crafts workshops and outdoor activities for young people and children.
• Council officers conducting surveys
• Unwanted items can be disposed of free of charge into a giant skip
• Info stalls with representatives from both internal and external services

We'll be there to tell you how you can get a HUG from West Lancashire Borough Council.

The government funded Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) is available for Lancashire home owners, landlords* and residential park homes, to install energy savings measures worth up to £38,000, for free, with no requirement to pay anything back.

If your home has no gas central heating with an EPC of D, E, F or G and;

• your household income is less than £36,000 or,
• someone in your household is in receipt of a means tested benefit or,
• your property is in an eligible postcode area (see Eligible Postcodes)

then you could qualify for free air source heat pump central heating, solar PV panels, all types of insulation, single glazed window upgrades and more!

The session is free for all residents. We can help you complete an application form or give you a pack to take away.
