Get a HUG from your Local Authority

HUG2 is a Government funded scheme, allowing Local Authorities to supply and install heating and insulation measures to households who don’t already have Gas Central Heating.
The scheme, due to launch on 1st April 2023, will be available in 13 Lancashire districts until March 2025 and is predicted to help around 2000 households improve their energy efficiency, not only making the homes greener but warmer too.
Under the scheme, eligible households could qualify for FREE installation of:
- External Wall, Underfloor and other Insulation measures
- Replacement Windows and Doors for Single Glazed Windows and Wooden External Doors
- High Heat Retention Storage Heaters
and many more measures.
Households with an income of less than £31,000, receiving a means tested benefit or living within an eligible postcode area could qualify for HUG2, providing the property isn’t already heated by Gas Central Heating and has an EPC rating of D or below.
